Episode 4: Fortune and Loss
Players Still in the Game:

Maladon Tribe:
Alexander Cromwell
Foyle Aber
Ian Murphy
Joey Mury
Johanus Sabastian Bartholomew iii
Mark Grant
Natalie Kink
Jennifer Sweeney

Shindor Tribe:
Amanda Tingay
Earl Oldson
Evan Muse
Jason Lucca
Randy Tahkoer
John Doe
Friedrich Nietzsche
Sarah Heiderman

Over at the Maladon Tribe:

Ian: Oh well, Alexander has been booted. I don’t think anyone has noticed his absence yet. Tee hee. The campfire has been extinguished by the storm that started after Tribal Council. It’s a little depressing, but I’m glad that I’m still here.

*The now 7 strong Maladon trudge back to the camp in total silence, as the rain continues to fall, developing gradually from a drizzle to a downpour. As all remain silent, contemplating the recent events, an awful realization suddenly hits the group as the camp comes into view*

Ian: ....The FIRE!!!

*What was once a blaze now flickers miserably, extinguished into non-existence just as the group arrive*

Ian: This is our worst day yet. *sigh* Well, quickly everyone, into the shelter. Looks like we got it finished just in time.

*Ian crawls into the shelter*

Ian: Come on Johanus, you're getting soaked. And we all know how much you hate to get your clothes wet.

*Some of the others inside the shelter began giggling audibly.*

*Johanus just stares up at the dark black sky and the rain pouring down on him.*

Ian: Johanus?

*Johanus looks to where the tribal council was held and stares as water drips off of his nose.*

Johanus: It should have been me. I don't deserve the shelter tonight.

*Johanus turns around and walks over to the beach where he lays down at the ridge of the beach and curls up to keep warm while thinking about past actions.*

*Mark walks out of the shelter and stares at Johanus down by the shore*

Mark: Poor guy... I'm a bit sad to see Alex go to, but we just have to accept it.. Its not your fault, Johanus.

*Mark walks into the woods in search of vines, despite the rain*

Mark: It should've been me.. If I had helped out more in the Immunity Challenge then perhaps this wouldn't have happened.

Foyle: All we have done is removed a weak member of the tribe, only to make ourselves strong once again!

There is only good things ahead for Maladon! GO MALADON!

*Most of the Maladons crawled into their shelter for the night, while Johanus separated himself from his tribe and slept outside.*

Over at the Shindor Tribe:

*It was the next morning. The winds and rain had already started to dissipate, leaving a nice cool calm climate. Everything is drenched, but the storm is now over.*

*Friedrich had just woken up, and he went to retrieve the treemail along with Sarah.*

*They came back to the camp to read it to the rest of the tribe.*

Friedrich: Here’s the clue:

Step right up
And try your luck
Will you proceed?
Or get stuck in muck?

Fortunes you?ll gain
Or losses will arrive
Whatever the outcome
Be ready for overdrive

Jason: Hmm.. very cryptic. Whatever it is, it should be exciting.

The Challenge:

*Both the Maladon and Shindor tribes made their way to the challenge, and stood on their appropriate mats.*

Mateui: Before you, in this dense jungle, stands a huge spinning wheel. One by one, each of you will spin it, and will receive an outcome. You may be rewarded, or misfortune will be upon you.

*Foyle gulped*

Mateui: The wheel will spin, until it stops on a space. That will be your outcome.

The possible outcomes are:

- Maladon/Immunity Point
- Shindor/Immunity Point
- Maladon/Cancel Point
- Shindor/Cancel Point
- Free Will
- Free Will/No Vote
- Free Will/Immunity
- Maladon/Extra Vote
- Shindor/Extra Vote
- Maladon/No Vote
- Shindor/No Vote
- Lesser Tribe

If the wheel lands on a space with a tribe name, followed by a slash, you will be now part of that tribe, and the second word will determine whether that tribe receives an Immunity Point or a Cancellation Point.

If the wheel lands on the Free Will space, you will be able to choose which tribe you will now be part of.

If the wheel lands on the Free Will/Immunity space, you will be able to choose which tribe you will now be part and if that tribe happens to go to TC council this night, you will be immune for that time only.

Now, since there are 13 of you the tribe divisions at the end must be 6 in one tribe, and 7 in the other. If at one point in the challenge, a tribe already has 7 people, and your wheel lands on that tribe’s space, you automatically go to the other tribe, but still keep the other condition.

For example, Maladon already has 7 new tribe members from wheel spin. You get: Maladon/Immunity Point. The result: You are now in Shindor, but also, Shindor gets an Immunity Point.

Each Immunity Point is worth: +1
Each Cancellation Point is worth: -1

At the end of the challenge, the tribe with the highest score wins Immunity.

*Another large gulp from many castaways.*

Mateui: That’s right. Immunity is at stake. Everybody please get off your tribal mats, and make a line in front of the Wheel of Misfortune. We’ll start spinning right away.

*The Survivors got in line*

Foyle: Wow, new tribes already? Crazy twists!

Well, here's my spin ...

Shindor/Immunity Point.

*Jennifer Spins the wheel and hopes she doesn't get switched*

Jennifer: I'm in Shindor with an extra vote.

*Jason spun the wheel, and received Shindor/No Vote.*

*Joey next spun the wheel, and received Shindor/Cancel Point.*

Mateui: Here are the current stats:

- Jason Lucca (NO VOTE)
- Joey Mury (-1)

*Sarah looked at the wheel with great concern. All this time, she thought she was doing just fine. But now this challenge could change everything for the better or worse. As she reached up to spin the wheel, she closed her eyes, and spun it with all of her might.*

Sarah: Lesser Tribe? I guess that means I'm Maladon now...

*Friedrich crosses his fingers... and spins...*

Friedrich: Hmm... ended up in the opposite tribe. At least I got an immunity point...

Randy: This is crazy... *Randy whispered as he held onto the wheel and gave it a spin.*

I'm now in Maladon... but I got a cancel point... damn

Mateui: The score is still tied at 0-0.

*Mark steps up and gives the wheel a spin*

Mark: This is a strange Immunity Challenge..

Cool.. I remain in Maladon and get an Immunity Point.

*Natalies spins the wheel*

Natalie: Lesser Tribe...

Wait, was it equal now? If so I choose Maladon!

Ian: Wow, what a weird twist! Okay, here goes! *spin*

Oh, boy! Free Will and Immunity! I choose....um, Maladon.

This means that:

THE NEW MALADON TRIBE HAS WON IMMUNITY!

*The New Maladon cheered as they have won the immunity challenge. The New Shindor tribe was a little disappointed, they were going to go Tribal Council tonight.*

Over at the Shindor Tribe:

Jennifer: I've been thrown into Shindor, I have 2 votes, I can't plan very well without knowing who the others though, so now I'm going to have to wait to see who else is with us. Jason who is now with me lost his vote if we lose this challenge. I think that I may need to pick an ally now since the environment may suddenly get hostile for me if too many old Shindor's
are in the new Shindor.

Joey: We had quite a surprise challenge. So early in the game we are now switching tribes in game of chance. I really don’t like this idea, because I’m not ready to merge just yet. We still have a lot of getting to know each other to do.

Looks like I still have quite a few members of Maladon, and we outnumber the Shindor. But, it’s off to tribal council as we had the least points, and we also have the fewest members. We now have Jason Lucca and John Doe. I think my vote will go to John. For one, I don’t think he’s around that much. And I don’t trust that guy… I don’t think John doe is his real name… *shifty eyes*

John: You know, Jason and I are on the outside. Pretty much the rest of the real Shindor tribe has moved to Maladon, and we’re likely to be picked off pretty soon. Either one of us will go tonight I’m afraid. It just better not be me.

Tribal Council:

Mateui: Welcome to Tribal Council, Shindor.

*The new Shindor tribe walked in with their lit torches and sat down on one of the two benches*

Mateui: Alright, before we get to the votes, I'd like to ask a few questions.

Jason, and John, how do you feel being the only original Shindor tribe members in this tribe? Do you feel because you started out against these other 4 people that now they'll all turn on one of you and vote you off? Jason, how does not being able to vote affect you?

Jason: Well, Mateui to answer you questions, I don't think that I feel threatened by being one of the original members, at least not yet anyway. And not being able to vote doesn't really affect me this round anyway, because I have no idea who I would vote for anyway.

Mateui: Jennifer, you have the power to vote twice tonight. How are you going to use this? Pile on the vote on someone, or spread it out? How are you voting?

Jennifer: Only one person can be removed this round so there's not really much of a point to split up my votes.

Mateui: Alright. We will now begin the voting. Jennifer has 2 votes at her disposal, while Jason cannot vote at all.

*The Survivors began to vote, and soon they were finished.*

I'll go tally the votes.

*Mat walks away and comes back shortly with the vote canister.*

Once the votes are read the decision is final - the person voted off will be asked to leave the area immediately.

I'll read the votes.

Mateui: Unfortunately, that's all the votes I received. But since John himself did not vote, that counts as a vote against him.

So with 4 votes, John, please bring me your torch.

*The torch is brought over to Mat*

John, the tribe has spoken.

*The torch is snuffed.*

Everyone else, please head back to camp.

ARCHIVE:

Jennifer: Vote 1+2: John Doe and John Doe
Reason: Well I feel that our team kind of got most of the inactive people it seems. We have Johanus who's always so busy from his schedule, John who only has 13 posts and according to it his profile posted in the original Shindor Tribe forum only 7 times and according to a post search has been doing only one post a day lately for the past several days, he's way too inactive to help us, he's even more inactive then Johanus is. Jason seems to not be as active post wise either from being in the 30's but then again the old Maladon Tribe did have like 3x the posts in it according to the numbers on the forum so that could be part of the reason why. The rest of the people seem to usually be active enough to help the team often.

Joey: Well, let's hope Jennifer voted for him too, as it'll count as 2.

*writes down a name, holds paper to camera*

John Doe

I really don't think that's his real name.

*walks back and takes a seat*

Did Not Vote:
- John Doe
- Johanus Bartholomew
- Foyle Aber
- Jason (EXCUSED! Was not allowed to vote because of condition)

The Big Reveal:
John Doe = Fighter
