Episode 12: Unwanted Begone

Players Still in the Game:

Edoni Tribe:
Randy Tahkoer
Jennifer Sweeney
Joey Mury
Natalie Kink
Ian Murphy

The Jury:
Sarah Heiderman
Evan Muse
Friedrich Nietzsche
Johanus Bartholomew

Voted Out:

John Doe
Jason Lucca
Mark Grant
Alexander Cromwell
Foyle Aber

Over at the Edoni Tribe:

Randy: I can feel it in the air... my time is now, (being the last Original Shindor member) but I’m not going to lose without knowing that I tried to save myself.

Ian: I made my feelings clear to Natalie before Tribal Council that I didn’t want Sarah to go, as it would be boring, blah, blah, blah, and that I would give Immunity to Sarah if I won (this is before the challenge)…and she basically said that was the end of us working together. Well, she didn’t say it like that…she put a sad smilie at the end. I honestly don’t want things to end with her – most notably because, if I need her help, I can call in a favour from when I hauled her ass out of the fire and got rid of Friedrich. And now, in order to avoid Randy being voted off by this alliance…I’m presuming they won’t turn on me just yet, I’ll have to do some scheming.

I can either (a) tell Jennifer that it was Joey who voted for her along with Sarah, and try to get her and Randy to vote for him, or (b) tell Jennifer and/or Joey that Natalie, despite knowing she won’t win, will still do everything in her power to get further, and that she has proven herself to be a coy planner so our best chance is to vote her off. The latter isn’t really a lie, and would be far more exciting, but if Joey or Jennifer turns on me and runs to Natalie, I’ll be Public Enemy No. 1 and I’m screwed. Either plan has serious repercussions if it backfires, but if I really want to make things more exciting, it’s a risk I’ll have to take.

**A Couple of Hours Later**

Okay, here’s how well those plans of mine went. I started up a conversation with Jennifer, and she started bitch-slapping me with a bunch of accusations about how trying to keep Sarah was a strategic decision and such. There was no point in trying to get Jennifer to go along with anything, and I was just a little too discouraged to try anything with Joey. Oh yes, and she knows I’m the anonymous guy. Whoop dee-fucking doo for you. This is the first person in the game I have decided I don’t like. Seriously, I liked her at first, but now she’s pissing me off with this elitist attitude of hers, telling me to go back and read the MTC1 articles to learn how to play the game.

Joey: Okay, nothing THAT important happened, really. I just got a PM from Jennifer saying that Ian is trying to betray us. After this whole time with Ian being the quiet, nice guy of the group, it turns out he’s doing one last ditch effort to get himself into the final four. Pretty stupid, if you ask me. Any hope of an alliance has fallen apart, trying to rebuild on Sarah will be very futile.

Treemail:

Compete in a challenge
Where everyone is tied
Get rid of the bondage
And begin the long glide

Slide down into safety
And fill up the pail
Pull down on the rope
And you will not fail

Natalie: Hmm... sounds very flying-foxy...

Ian: It sounds like we'll have a lot to do in this challenge.

Immunity Challenge 12: Ropes and Pulleys

Mateui: Welcome to the twelfth Immunity Challenge. This immunity is very important, as it will guarantee you a spot in the final 4. That said, this challenge will be not picnic.

Each of you will start off as being tied up with rope. Your first step is to untie all the rope, and then run up a 10 foot ladder. Once up there, you will slide down a slide, and will now be next to a table with 5 buckets. Choose one of these, and run up to the river, and dip your bucket in. Then, run up to a station, which has 5 long tubes for you to fill. Empty your water into your tube, and go back to the river for more water. Keep filling up your bucket, and emptying it into your tube, until it is filled.

Once it is, a pulley will be released in front of you. Pull onto it, until a draw bridge comes down. Once it does, run across it, and past the finish line. First one to do that will win Immunity.

Immunity is at stake.. Ready? GO!

*The 5 players all began to untie themselves, and proceeded with the rest of the challenge.*

*TO SEE THE FULL CHALLENGE, HEAD TO THE MTC II FORUM, AND LOOK IN THE TOPIC ENTITLED: “Immunity Challenge 12”*

Mateui: The winner of the Immunity Challenge is:

NATALIE KINK!

You cannot be voted out of the game tonight, and have an automatic pass to the final 4. Congratulations.

Tribal Council

*The remaining five members of Edoni solemnly and silently approached Tribal Council. Each sat down and looked at each other. Nothing could be heard but the chirping of crickets and the wind rustling the trees. Finally, they heard footsteps. Mat, no longer with a bunch of luxuries, walked out before them.*

Mateui: Edoni, welcome to the twelfth Tribal Council. This vote will decide who gets to stay for the final four... and who gets to go. Natalie, step forward.

*Natalie stepped forward, clutching the immunity necklace*

Mateui: Natalie has Immunity, and cannot be voted for. She has a free ride into the final four.

Natalie, how does it feel to win Immunity three times in a row? You've made a lot of enemies, and are unlikely to win, but you keep going... why?

*Natalie laughed*

Natalie: Well, I feel like I can do anything after all this, and I feel it's my duty to make it to the final two with a friend so they can be guaranteed victory. I've done some pretty underhanded things in the past, but I want to make up for it."

*Mat nodded.*

Mateui: Ian, you were voted the most likely to be in multiple alliances... so do you feel you could be targeted?

Ian: Well, yeah, I feel like I've become a potential target, and my chances for survival have been taking severe blows lately. In fact, no matter what anyone might say, I'm pretty sure my number's up tonight.

Mateui: Randy, now that Sarah is gone do you feel vulnerable, particularly after being voted the least deserving to be in the tribe?

Randy: I felt vulnerable the moment the game began. My mentality hasn't been altered much due to the recent events. Also, I believe I was voted least deserving due to the fact of my inactivity. I missed two challenges in a row, and then another in the last round. All I can do is wait everything out

Mateui: Jennifer, do you feel vulnerable after receiving your first ever votes last round? Why do you think they went for you?

It depends on who I'm more likely to end up in a tie with if some alliance or team decides to target me. Two players have more votes then me and two players have less votes then me. Joey was just as likely to get votes on him but I just got unlucky I guess from winning immunity once before.

Mateui: Alright, it’s time to vote.

*All the players voted.*

I'll go tally the votes.

*Mat left the area to go get the vote canister. While he was gone, the remaining 5 players sat and waited patiently - they knew that one of them would be going home tonight.. and most of them were pretty sure of the result.. but would something out of the ordinary occur? - Mat finally returned.*

Once the votes are read the decision is final - the person voted out will be asked to leave the area immediately.

I'll read the votes.

*The jury looked closely, trying to anticipate the first vote.. would the vote fall the way most of them expected?..*

THE 12TH PERSON VOTED OUT OF MAKING THE CUT II: INDONESIA IS:
RANDY TAHKOER

Mateui: Please bring me your torch.

*Randy stood up and walked over to Mat. His journey was over, and he could not do anything about it.. his fate was sealed.*

Randy, the tribe has spoken.

*The torch was snuffed.*

*Randy nodded as he had already known the outcome of the council. He was the last of the original Shindor tribe, and along the way was able to fool certain members in thinking he was not in an alliance. There wasn't a disappointed expression on his face, for he now was going to decide who deserved to win the game. And he also knew that the majority of the jury was now the original Shindor tribe. As he disappeared into the shadows, he waved goodbye to the remaining four.*

Mateui: The rest of you, congratulations on making it to the final 4. It's going to get a lot harder and intense from here on out, as everyone left appears to be in the same alliance.. but eventually, it will have to cave in on itself - just make sure you yourself do not get trapped in.

Head back to camp.

Randy: Vote: Jennifer

Reason: Well, I know my time is now. The pattern if quite obvious, and due to twists in the game, my alliance was dealt the losing hand. As far as my reasoning for voting, I don't talk to the remaining players in the game, but according to the last council... one of the remaining players wishes to see Jennifer gone. So, I'm going to place my vote against her, in hopes that SOMEHOW it may make a difference. If I am voted off tonight, I know I'll be part of the final decision... and not in the way most will think...

Ian: I Vote: Randy Tahkoer

Reasons: *sigh* This is practically random selection again, but I just decided for once I'd give in and vote with the crowd. Not that it'll do me much good, but I'll just help the alliance...unless of course, they're gunning for me.

Jennifer: Vote: Randy
Reason: Because my allies said so after a discussion, I feel that this could be a mistake to let Ian around longer though.

Joey: Randy

Natalie: I vote Randy. Hey, he's unworthy of being in the final 4.

Randy’s Final Words:

I came into this game, wanting to know the person I truly was. I began mellow, knowing I was safe... yes it might have be more ignorance than anything, but I did not want to begin an alliance very early. It would characterize me as a schemer, and it would have led to me being voted off quite quickly. Then when the assurance began to fade away, I forged an alliance. I was going to betray Natalie and Ian, no matter what. After that, Sarah and Friedrich were too good of friends to betray the other. They would trick Evan into voting me off, and then vote him off. So, I would have told Evan this and got us to the finals. I didn't care at one point that they hated me; all I wanted to do was get to the finals. I knew I wasn't going to get any jury votes that way, but at least I knew I got the best of them game-wise. I would be able to say I outplayed everyone, even though it would come back to bite me in the ass. Nothing worked the way it did... Natalie tore the alliance apart. With the four original Shindor members in the jury, I promise you that Natalie will NOT win this game no matter what. I know I could have won this game, if things had gone differently... but they didn't, and I cannot change that. I can honestly say I have grown tremendously from this experience, and I thank the others for helping me learn more about myself (even though we may not see eye to eye). To the remaining four, I will see two of you in the jury and the other two in the final vote. It will be interesting to see how you each fall apart and thrive to win this game.

The Big Reveal:

Randy Tahkoer = Finality
