All about them confusing commands and how to use them

Body

here is a tutorial for persons new to rm2k and dont understand these commands.

=====================================

Definition of Fork conditions:

Fork conditions are: If Then (and if you want) Else

Fork conditions are commands that makes

something different to happen

------------------------------------------------------------

example: IF the user press Enter, THEN player jumps

(how many or etc.) 3 steps up. ELSE (if not)

(then you might have pressed something else:)

Game over appears

-----------------------------------------------------------

Fork conditions are IF.. THEN (

ex2: IF you are on the edge of the room THEN you are kicked from there ELSE nothing happens still (not until you get to the edge...)

=====================================

=====================================

Definition of Switches:

This is easy, switches are to use on FORK CONDITIONS too.

Ex: You moved a chair ( a switch that you named: move chair, etc. the switch: "move chair" will turn ON)

So if you use the FORK CONDITIONS on another event, IF switch: Move chair is ON THEN a secret door has appeared ELSE nothing happens.(go move the chair so that the secret door would appear)

On is as= (

--------------------------------------------------------

Or OFF if you would like but youll need an event

very before meeting these events to turn ON the switch making ON the default condition but preferily OFF to be default beginning switch condition.

=====================================

Definition of Variables:

Variables at difference to switch have more than the conditions: "ON" or "OFF" (variables have more conditions but expressed in Numbers/digits... whatever)

------------------------------------------------------------

note: variables default condition are 0

Ex:

IN an event: Variable is "set" 2

Set: to make it equally that number "=" in "operand"

-----------------------------------------------------------

+: to + the variables value(value: number that is)

with the setting value put in "operand"

-----------------------------------------------------------

-: To subtract- the variables value with the setting value putted in "operand".

-----------------------------------------------------------

*:To "multiply"| "*" the variables value with the setting value putted in "operand".

-----------------------------------------------------------

/:To "divide"| "/" the variable value with the setting value putted in "operand".

-----------------------------------------------------------

Mod: When divided, you had a remainder so the value of the variable divided with the last divisions remainder will be the variables number or value.

---------------------------------------------------------

You can use variables too for calculating coordinates (or horizontal and vertical area where player is)

----------------------------------------------------------

X coordinate: The horizontal of sprite is indicated by

the x coordinates value, coordinate value increases 1+ everytime you go right, going left will decrease

1-

------------------------------------------------------------

Y coordinate: The vertical of sprite is indicated by the Y coordinates value, Coordinate value increases 1+ everytime you go down, going up will decrease 1-
