How to create a frogger style minigame

Hi Folks, It's ATARI again, I'm here to demostrate how to make a simple frogger like tutorial.

I won't drone out on how to do something over and over again. I'll just do 1 event, then you can copy etc. I will briefly talk about other things.

What you'll need...
2 variables. One named HeroLives, and HeroPoints
4 Switches. Car1Full, Frog1got, Startgame, and Car1Invis
RM2k,
A frog graphic (for hero)
another frog graphic (for froggie that gets saved)
and a car graphic (For you're evil 'smash the froggie' event)

Now in the middle of your map, just make 4 lines across the whole screen: Ex: x = lines

-------, thats basically how a simple version of the map would look like. Now add the first event. Name it car one. In my tutorial, we'll make it 2 tiles near the edge, or

c= car of course.
Now set it as below hero and touch condition on touch (hero,event)
For it's movement, set it as 6 and 4: normal. And by it's route. You'll need this so we can make a loop, so the car can re-appear on the other side. In the event commands, make it minus 1 life variable and teleport you back to the starting spot.
Now it edit route, set it to face left, step two left and turn on switch carinvis (it's only two because we only have to two tiles near the edge, you'll need to edit this for other starting positions.)
Make a new page. Make it's event conditions switch:carinvis, now in the by it's route, change everything to the fastest possible. Make the by it's route all the way back to the otherside. Now the most important set, make the graphic invisisble, keep below hero and change it to push key. At the end of commands, turn on car1full and off carinvis. Also remove the -1 variable and teleport thingie-majiggy.
Make another page, set it's start condition switch: car1full. Do the exact thing as in the other one, except have the graphics the car graphics and have it walk to the otherside of the screen and at 6,4 rate. Add in the variable and teleport events. Now it will loop back and forth. hurray.
Now make an event and the top the page for the frog you need to save. Make it on hero touch and +1 to point varible and turn on frog1got switch. On the next page make it totally blank with no event.
Now make a parrel process event. Make it's start condition start switch. Make a fork, set it to if live variable below 0. Make it then send u to game overscreen or whatever you want.
Now a autostart event. Make it set live variable at 3. Then make it turn on switch start, make another page, set it as push key, start condition nothing and with nothing in the event commands.

Test your game. It should work now.
Sidenote: Copy the stuff like frogs and cars around map to where they should be, only a little editing is required. IF you want turtles that sink up and down also, make a water thing 2 tiles above the car place. Do the exact thing, (except change graphics), but make it simuleoustaminously (sp?) change between up and out with up swtich and an out switch. Easy enough
